Whitehouse Engineering has considerable experience working in this expanding sector having been involved in numerous projects ranging from Ice Rinks, Bowling Alleys, Leisure Centres, Restaurants and Cinemas to the refurbishment of the Ulster Museum. Some of this work has involved the application of both protective coatings and/or decorative finishes to the ductwork. Some of the projects undertaken by the company include: |
| Dundonald International Ice Bowl- this complex spread over 4500 square metres incorporates an Ice Rink, twenty lane ten-pin bowling alley, Cafeteria, Kitchen, Indoor adventure playground and Function suite. This project involved the manufacture and installation of 4 runs of 1200 dia spiral ductwork over the Ice Rink to provide supply and return air ventilation along with the HVAC services to the rest of the complex. The huge success of the International Ice Bowl has been credited to its excellent conception, design and construction. |  |

| Ulster Museum Belfast undertook a major upgrade of its mechanical services. This project involved the upgrading of the HVAC services for the exhibit areas of the museum. A new roof top plantroom was formed to house the air handling plant with ductwork passing to and from the exhibition areas below. For the duration of this project large areas of the museum were open to the public whilst the construction work was on going. This required a lot of pre planning to facilitate the museums operations. |
